Mr. Reed

I have been in education since 2008 and began my career at the Freehold Intermediate School in seventh grade.  After four years at FIS, I relocated to the Upper Freehold Regional School District for twelve years where I taught 6th and 5th grade science.  In 2023, I moved back to the Freehold Borough School district to teach at Park Avenue and work with the Multilingual Learners.  I am grateful to be a part of the Park Avenue staff and to work with an awesome 5th grade team of teachers!

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administrations with a concentration on Management with a minor in Biology from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.  After a few years working for the owner of the Chicago White Sox’s youth baseball program, I went back to college to receive my teaching degree.  I continued my studies at NOVA Southeastern University where I received my Master’s degree in Science Education.  After receiving my Master’s degree I went back to school once again at Georgian Court University to receive my supervisory certificate.  

I currently reside in Howell with my wife, two boys (Freshman and Seniors in HS), and our two adorable dogs.  I’m an avid outdoorsman, so if I’m not at my kids school or sports events, you can find me at your favorite fishing hole.  Over the past ten years, I have become a huge fan of fantasy novels and my two favorite authors are Brandon Mull and Seth Ring.  I often come to Freehold Borough to eat or shop with my family, so you never know when you might bump into Mr. Reed out and about!
